Overall Watch Description

Patek Philippe is returning with the father of all hyped timepieces, a 170-piece limited edition stainless steel Nautilus. This is to commemorate its association with Tiffany & Co.

The introduction of a new limited edition Patek Philippe x Tiffany & Co. watch has undoubtedly sent a slew of timepiece collectors into a frenzy. It’s a limited-edition version of the most touted and wanted luxury pieces ever. It could also be the last version of Patek’s iconic Nautilus ever made. In addition to having a stunning turquoise dial, this piece is also a stunner for many other reasons.

The Nautilus, Patek Philippe’s greatest renowned watch, has stature and appeal that is difficult to overestimate. That is why the news that it would be phased out was both shocking and perplexing. During an interview with The New York Times, the founder and Ceo, Thierry Stern, acknowledged as much. He said that the cherished brand would have one last “lap of honor” prior to retirement, which is exactly what the 2021 green-dial edition was.

This unique 40mm steel watch features the renowned Tiffany blue dial, which includes prints from both Patek Philippe as well as Tiffany & Co. positioned at 12 o’clock. This makes Tiffany & Co. the planet’s only vendor whose work was published on a Patek Philippe dial today. The timepiece has a lateral relief embossing, which is a symbol of the Nautilus. The sapphire caseback contains the phrase ‘170th Anniversary 1851-2021 Tiffany & Co. – Patek Philippe’. Besides, there is a date display located at 3 o’clock. A steel link band including a fold-over clasp is included on the piece.

The timepiece is driven from the inside by the self-winding caliber 26-330 S C. This is a movement featuring a stop-seconds system that enables the time to be adjusted with one-second precision. The power reserve also ranges from 35 to 45 hours. On the other hand, the unidirectional rotating rotor is composed of 21 karat gold, and the timepiece has a water resistance of up to 120 meters.

It’s reasonable to say that this Tiffany & Co. model caught the timepiece world off guard. It’s not only because of the watch’s discontinuation but also because it’s a departure from the brand’s usual conservative aesthetic. The dial’s bright shade is regarded as Tiffany Blue, while the contrasting black hands and indexes make it even more remarkable. The Tiffany & Co. wordmark on the dial talks to enthusiasts who cherish the rare “co-signed” timepiece dials of previous decades; and Tiffany dials are one of the most well-known. Furthermore, the common heritage of the two firms makes such a piece feel more natural and authentic.
