A public status.
We review business identity and core company information. Approval is required; payment alone does not confer Verified status.
Selected is editorial discovery. Verified adds a separate review of business identity and core company information, together with a commercial dealer presence. Verified is not a credit rating, watch authentication or transaction guarantee.

Three requirements for approval.
This standard applies to new applications and renewal reviews from 26 September 2026. All three requirements must be supported before approval.
- An identifiable, active business. The legal name, registration details and current business status must be confirmed against an official register or an equivalent authoritative source appropriate to the jurisdiction.
- A confirmed business representative. The applicant’s connection to the business must be established through an independently sourced business contact or evidence of authority. An application email alone is insufficient.
- A website connected to that business. The website’s business details must match the applicant, and control or authorised use of the website must be confirmed.
Evidence, decisions and ongoing status
Approval requires a dated internal record of the sources and evidence, the reviewer and the decision. Missing or conflicting evidence requires clarification; unresolved requirements prevent approval. The standard requires a new review at renewal, at least annually.
Material changes or credible concerns are grounds for a further review. Status may be paused or withdrawn when its basis cannot be substantiated. Only active status permits use of the Verified seal. A withdrawn status must remain identifiable on its public verification page so an old seal cannot be mistaken for current approval.
Site visits, warnings and the limits of the review
A physical visit is additional information and is only claimed for a business we have actually visited. It is not a requirement for every applicant.
Any warning-list check is limited to the named sources and date recorded. No match is not proof that a business is free from misconduct. Verified does not imply a comprehensive fraud, sanctions, credit or regulatory-licensing check, product authentication, a service-quality assessment or buyer protection.
Earlier profiles and paid membership
For profiles approved before this standard was introduced, the published scope is business identity and core company information. Do not infer that every step of this new checklist was completed retrospectively. The displayed verification year is not an exact review date or evidence of continuous monitoring.
Paid membership covers the agreed profile and seal products. Payment cannot replace the approval requirements. Editorial Selected listings are separate and are not verification.

What is the difference between Selected and Verified?
Selected businesses are included through our independent, unpaid editorial selection. Verified businesses have a paid membership and a separate review of business identity and core company information. Selected does not mean Verified.
Can a business buy Verified approval?
No. Membership pays for a business profile and licensed seals, but payment does not replace the approval requirements. Every membership follows the same verification standard. Paid promotional content is separate from our editorial selection.
Does Verified guarantee a watch or a purchase?
No. Verified is a business-level review, not authentication of individual watches or a guarantee of quality, delivery or a transaction. Confirm the watch’s condition, provenance, payment and return terms directly with the dealer.
How do I check a seal or report incorrect information?
Follow the seal to the dealer’s profile on superwatchman.com and check the published name and status. If something looks incorrect, send us the profile link and details.
