Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the most celebrated sportsman from Sweden, is known for being a football whiz. In short, he symbolizes an immense talent and a tremendous character. Besides, he’s not precisely someone you’d imagine to be a professional football player on the international stage at 6’5″. Nonetheless, he is regarded by most as one of the best players to have ever played the brilliant sport.

In addition, Zlatan has won championships with historical clubs, including Malmo (Sweden), Juventus, Ajax, Inter Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester United, and AC Milan, over the course of his 19-year journey. He has also accumulated an astounding 33 big trophies, hence being the third top player in football history.

On the other hand, Zlatan has made a number of the most outrageous statements ever and delivered some mind-blowing goals. Even though his activities may keep the public busy all day, his watch collection is subdued. In addition to gifting himself with fancy cars, the player is also a timepiece collector owning different luxurious pieces.

Here are a few of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s most valued timepieces in his collection:

1. Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph

On a recent trip to Sweden, Zlatan Ibrahimovic wore a stainless steel Patek Philippe Aquanaut Chronograph featuring a black Arabic dial. This family’s first chronograph complexity, the 5968A-001, spans 42.2 by 11.8 mm and is composed of stainless steel. The complexity complements the Aquanaut aesthetic while providing the technically advanced flyback feature. As a result, the 60-minute display at 6 o’clock accurately reproduces the shape of the octagonal curved bezel.

With reference 5968A-001, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut is currently offered with a Chrono movement. The ground-breaking caliber CH 28-520 C has every feature a contemporary chronograph might possibly need, such as mechanical winding, a date function, and a Flyback feature.

As expected, the Chrono buttons surrounding the case merely serve to enhance the modern Aquanaut series streamlined appearance. Model 5968A-001 also has white gold attached hour markings and indexes on a black engraved dial, a bright orange minute tracker, an orange Chrono seconds indicator, as well as an orange 60-minute sub-dial.

2. Platinum Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

The football legend owns one of the best models on the timepiece market, the platinum Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 116506-0001. The ice blue dial of this Rolex Daytona is undeniably distinctive. It boasts a modern, angular design that exudes individuality without sacrificing the refinement for which this historical line of Chrono watches is renowned. For Rolex enthusiasts or people who understand, using an icy blue dial is noteworthy.

Most Rolex watches do not have this color, but it is exclusive to platinum Rolex models. It serves as a subtly effective reminder to other watch enthusiasts and collectors that the pieces it adorns are constructed of real 950 platinum.

The distinctive red “DAYTONA” symbol is visible right over the seconds’ indicators at 6 o’clock. On the other hand, the chestnut brown Cerachrom bezel perfectly reflects the 3 subdials on the surface.

Like one would anticipate from a Rolex timepiece, the in-house Caliber 4130 pulses are concealed beneath a sealed caseback. This preserves time despite nearly all its surroundings can throw at it. Moreover, the self-winding Cal. 4130 automatic Chronograph boasts more dependability as it includes fewer functions than a standard Chrono movement.

3. Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Meteorite Dial

Another Rolex watch in Zlatan’s collection is the Cosmograph Daytona Meteorite Dial. In 2021, this timepiece was made available on the market and was regarded as one of the best sports watches.

A glossy, black Cerachrom bezel and 18k white gold case surrounds this Rolex Cosmograph Daytona. The black bezel is particularly resistant to scratches and sunlight color degradation. Also, the 18k white gold case is robust and well-cleaned, with middle lugs that have a polished and elegant finish.

The Meteorite dial and black subdials on the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona are standard. It also features a date window, hour and minute indexes with luminescent fill, and polished White Gold indicators. It uses hour pointer marking with white gold borders and brilliant infill.

In addition, each Cosmograph Daytona must have a movement that keeps running smoothly throughout any bump, shock, and spin on the racetrack. For this reason, Rolex uses a Paramagnetic Blue Parachrom hairspring in the caliber 4130 to produce a precision of -2/+2 seconds a day. It also beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of up to 72 hours.

4. Rolex Submariner ‘Hulk’ in stainless steel

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is indeed a fan of the Rolex watches. Besides Daytona, he has also been seen sporting the highly anticipated 40mm stainless steel Rolex Submariner reference 116610LV, which features a traditional green dial as well as a green ceramic bezel.

As a tribute to the Submariner of 2003, which celebrated its 50th anniversary, the Rolex Submariner 116610LV, often known as the “Hulk,” was initially released in 2010. The dark green piece introduced wider lugs, a ceramic bezel, and bigger hour markers on the dial. Besides, the green display with the bezel of the Rolex LV Sub makes it a fantastic way to distinguish it from other pieces with black or white dials.

A Rolex-made, chronometer-grade mechanical movement is housed within the 904l steel casing and an oyster band of the LV Submariner. Featuring a cerachrom bidirectional rotational bezel, a Triplock screw in crown, as well as a 1,000ft/300m waterproof rating, it could obviously still function underwater.

5. Patek Philippe Nautilus Annual Calendar

A more intricate variation of Patek Philippe’s renowned sporting timepiece is the Nautilus 5726/1A-001, which the AC Milan forward player owns. The 1976 original’s color inspired Patek Philippe’s redesigned black dial, which gives the Nautilus’ athletic design a modern twist.

In addition, the Patek Philippe Nautilus Annual Calendar concept’s delicate black gradation highlights the traditional horizontal engraving toward the border. The 24-hour projection of the moon phase, as well as the calendar markers, also blend in perfectly with the attached golden hour markings to form an ensemble.

The watch casing is 40.5 x 11.3 mm and has a waterproof rating of up to 120 meters. Furthermore, A 324 S QA LU 24H/30 mechanical caliber is housed within this Patek Philippe Nautilus Annual Calendar.

6. Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ‘Eye of the Tiger’

A Cosmograph Daytona with diamonds was introduced by Rolex in 2019 at Baselworld with reference number 116588TBR. This was perhaps the most bizarre and surprising launch of the fair. In reality, a diamond-encrusted Rolex Daytona is nothing unique; however, a model boasting a dial like that of the 116588TBR certainly is. Besides, the integrated 18k yellow-gold with the diamond-set, wave-like pattern on the black polished dial’s face can make you think of a tiger’s fur.

Generally, the Rolex Daytona “Eye of the Tiger” 116588TBR is made for people who desire to combine the appeal of diamonds and the glitz of yellow gold. The variant has an 18K yellow gold casing with a 40mm thickness. Given the excellent qualities of its foundry, Rolex, compared to other watch companies, builds all its casings and is always able to offer its clients the best timepieces.

Diamonds in baguette cuts adorn the bezel. Furthermore, the dial has dozens of diamonds. Along with the gold Rolex symbol, 15, 30, and 45 engravings, the golden dial features hand-embroidered patterns. Diamonds also were employed as pointers for the other markings.

7. Gold Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980/1R-001

Another Patek Philippe watch in Zlatan’s collection is the Nautilus 5980/1R-001. When the Patek Philippe Nautilus was initially debuted in 1978, watch casings were becoming smaller. However, the Nautilus defied this act and quickly rose to be among the most recognizable watch variants for the company.

The magnificent Patek Philippe 5980/1R-001 timepiece case is crafted of 18-carat rose gold and measures 40 mm from ten to the four o’clock mark. It incorporates the Caliber CH 28-520 C self-winding mechanical movement with a 55-hour power reserve. Also, a Chrono sub-dial is located at 6 o’clock, and there is a date window at 3 o’clock on the black structured dial.

Conclusion

The most humble football player in the world, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, isn’t only recognized for his modesty. The 40-year-old Bosnian-Swedish legend, presently experiencing a comeback with AC Milan, enjoys buying expensive presents for himself. Besides sports cars, he has also made a watch his top priority. Based on his collection, there’s no doubt that his love for Rolex and Patek Philippe watches is profound.
