World premiere for the new Gerald Charles Maestro

World premiere for Gerald Charles Maestro GC3.0-RG Chronograph and GC2.0-RG Ultra-Thin, both featuring an 18-carat rose gold case with a width of 39 mm and a royal blue sunburst dial and a royal blue chronograph dial on a vulcanized rubber strap.

The watch design of the timepieces is from original drawings by late watch genius Gerald Genta himself, and the new hexagonal-shaped oscillating weight has been designed by the world-renowned watch designer Mr. Octavio Garcia.

Watch Review

The GC2.0-RG Ultra-Thin and GC3.0-RG Chronograph are two additional 18-carat rose golden Maestro variants from Maison Gerald Charles. The sporty-elegant watches debut a vulcanized rubber band with a royal blue sunburst face.

The innovative watches transmit a casual refinement and appeal in line with Maison’s idea of sporty-elegant watches. At the same time, they showcase the most precise and dependable Swiss mechanisms. The two major versions are driven by unique mechanically operated calibers designed specifically for Gerald Charles in partnership with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. They display the exquisite new Maison oscillation weight in a hexagonal structure created by Mr. Octavio Garcia, a famous watchmaker.

The dial does not have any straight edges or square forms, in keeping with the case’s curved architectural design. The oval-shaped indexes with white seconds/minutes line conform to the wavelike shapes. The indicators have a similar luminous coating as the round-tipped hour as well as minute markers. The three subdials, located at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, feature a circular frame, an exterior track with nails, and distinct white markers.

The extremely complex Calibre Ref. GCA3002 Manufacture and a 3.7 mm thick mechanical with the date and time features, is housed in the Gerald Charles Maestro GC2.0-RG Ultra-Thin. It also includes exceptionally high standards of precision, shock, and vibration resistance, as well as a twin-barrelled 50-hour power reserve. Moreover, it has a high-quality, bi-directional oscillation weight mounted on a ceramic ball-bearing mechanism with reduced friction.

The Calibre Ref. GCA3022/12 Manufacture, an automated Chrono movement derived from the GCA3002, is the movement used in the Gerald Charles Maestro GC3.0-RG Chronograph. With a dimension of just 6.07 mm, it is remarkably tiny. It also has a twin-barrelled 50-hour power backup, including a bi-directional oscillation weight.

The exquisite hexagonal-shaped oscillatory mass created by modern watch creator Mr. Garcia initially emerged in the micro-rotor of a Maestro 8.0 Squelette, unveiled in May 2022. Now it is incorporated into all brand-new Gerald Charles timepieces and has started to serve as Maison’s repeated concept pattern. In partnership with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, Mr. Garcia created it, drawing design and development influence from Gerald Charles creator Monsieur Genta’s aesthetic and love of geometric forms.

In addition, the Gerald Charles Maestro GC3.0-RG Chronograph and GC2.0-RG Ultra-Thin feature sapphire crystal case backs. They are mounted on vulcanized rubber straps bearing Gerald Charles’s trademark tapisserie on one end and the Clous de Paris pattern, a hallmark design of the Maison, on the other. They are also 100-meter waterproof, much like all Gerald Charles pieces.
