Description

The SKULL was shown to the world in 2011, at which time it was just a school project Fiona made while she was a student at the ECAL art school in Switzerland. , , When finally released commercially in 2014, it was the first watch to bear the name of designer Fiona Krüger. This watch was produced in a limited edition of 12 pieces. Its skull-shaped case measures 57.4 x 41.3 mm. IT is powered by the TechnoTime 718 movement – in this case sans date., , SKULL is Fiona Krüger’s statement time piece, drawing inspiration from the 17th century skull watch of Mary Queen of Scots, the Mexican celebration of Dia de Los Muertos and beautifully decorated skeleton movements found in today’s luxury watches., , Each watch is hand-made in Switzerland, powered by a Swiss mechanical movement with a 5-day power-reserve. SKULL’s hand-decorated 3-layer dial mirrors the aesthetics of the movement underneath, highlighting the mechanical aspect of the watch. Encased in a hand-polished stainless steel skull-shaped case the watch is complimented by a hand-made leather wrist-band.
