Rvssian – Richard Mille RM 11-03 Automatic Winding Flyback

The Jamaican record producer and entrepreneur Rvssian is wearing a 44,5mm Richard Mille RM 11-03 Automatic Winding Flyback Chronograph featuring a black skeleton dial with yellow and red details.

The watch is made from Red TPT Quartz, which is a material almost impossible to scratch and also extremely lightweight.

About the Watch

Richard Mille RM 11-03 automatic winding flyback chronograph model has been a cornerstone of the brand’s ever-expanding range. To bring its intricacy to the spotlight, Richard Mille watchmakers visually built the innovative timepiece’s automatic movement, Caliber RMAC3. The watch’s yearly calendar features are highlighted by glossy beveled rims labeled with intermediate occasions that enclose the vibrantly colored subdial displays for the flyback chronograph. The seconds’ display; a topmost bridge in satin-brushed grade 5 titanium that differs from the PVD-coated titanium components of the movement; and an oversized date window. A subdial with a timer function is shared by the 12-hour Chrono indicator.

The double-barrel system is highlighted on the backside of the movement by a satin-brushed PVD-treated lower bridge. On the other hand, the new variable-geometry rotor, constructed of 5th-grade titanium, mimics the aerodynamic shapes seen in Formula 1 cars. This sort of rotor, which is unique to Richard Mille, enables the watch’s owner to regulate the automated winding of the timepiece to the degree of their activity. It can be done by altering its inertia with the help of two micro-blasted as well as chamfered 18K white gold wings. The rotor, composed of satin-brushed, PVD-treated titanium and fitted on ceramic ball bearings, has six settings.

With a bottom plate and bridges composed of fifth-grade titanium, the Caliber RMAC3 is designed to be extremely stiff, allowing its gear trains to perform at a high level. The timepiece’s two mainspring chambers are positioned beside each other to guarantee reliable coupling and a power reserve of around 55 hours. The free-sprung equilibrium, which is exceptionally shock-resistant and can be set more accurately than a standard balance disc, vibrates at 4 Hz.

In addition, Richard Mille has improved the RM 11-03 automatic winding flyback chronograph predecessor’s three-part durable case. This contributes to more revamped lines and a sportier, more adjustable silhouette (a process that necessitates longer machining moments). The top rate of manual craftsmanship, such as the chamfering and smoothing of the surfaces, a subtle, time-consuming technique, is done completely by hand. This casing measures 49.94 mm in diameter and is a defining element of all Richard Mille sportier watches.

Richard Mille RM 11-03 automatic winding flyback chronograph contains other features that evoke vehicle racing. These include the 5th grade titanium crown, which borrows design parameters from competing wheel rims and tire treads. Another one is the grooved Chrono pushers, which are also made of titanium and mimic car pedals. The pushers, in turn, are shielded by NTPT carbon covers, which are also commonly used in F1 racing cars.

The watch’s casing comes in rose gold, titanium, or a combination of the two metals. It is held together by 20 fifth-grade titanium spline screws and has a sapphire display back that shows the movement’s numerous elements and functions.
