Rolex Sky-Dweller ‘Meteorite’ dial with a case, bezel and dial in 18k white gold

Drake wears an extremely rare Rolex Sky-Dweller ‘Meteorite’ dial with a case, bezel, and dial in 18k white gold. The watch is exclusively made for the Chinese market and is limited to only 3 pieces worldwide.

The 42mm case has been set with 74 baguette-cut diamonds, the dial with 10 baguette-cut diamonds, and features a black rubber oyster strap with a diamond set 18k white gold clasp.

Overall Description

Drake is having the time of his life in 2022, earning more money and releasing more songs than ever. Indeed, according to data revealed by Billboard, Drake produced more music streaming in 2021 than all songs released before 1980 altogether. Even with the little paid by streaming providers, that’s a substantial sum of money.

Generally, the hip-hop sensation is known for his taste in better things. Thus, it’s no surprise that he was photographed sporting an extremely unusual new Rolex during one of the largest and most prestigious horseracing.

This Rolex is not accessible to ordinary punters, as the name implies. It’s an off-the-menu offering available only to Rolex’s most affluent clientele. Because the timepiece is so uncommon, there aren’t many photographs of it on the internet, so Drake has truly blessed us by giving us a glance.

This heavy Sky-Dweller is a true rapper’s timepiece, with an 18ct white gold casing, meteorite dial, and almost entirely studded with diamonds. Drake has chosen the Oysterflex edition of this watch which is somewhat sportier and considerably more flexible than the standard engraved white gold bracelet.

The Rolex Sky-Dweller has always been a bit contradictory timepiece, although it is one of the Swiss manufacturer’s most inventive pieces. This timepiece is a beautiful blend of technological elegance, ease of use, and longevity and was designed with globetrotters and travelers in mind. The watch was only offered in precious metals when it was first released in 2012. In 2017, the company did, however, produce other Rolesor variants of the Sky-Dweller.

Rolex Sky-Dweller is Rolex’s most sophisticated timepiece with a GMT and Annual Calendar complexity. The casing diameter is 42mm, the thickness is 14mm, and the lug width is 21mm. It is 175 grams in weight. Furthermore, it features an in-house movement (Cal. 9001) with a 72-hour power reserve and has a water resistance of up to 100 meters.

You can adjust your secondary (GMT) time zone to GMT+2 whenever you’re not traveling or conducting business in a different time zone frequently. Once you follow the instructions and apply the clever bezel/crown combo, setting the two time zones and date is a breeze. The dial is well-designed and cleverly utilizes space to show the second time zone, date, as well as month.

The bracelet, like other oyster bracelets, is comfy, and the refined center links (PCL) go well with the remainder of the timepiece. Of course, the drawback of PCL is that the first scratch will always hurt, but everything is OK after you get through that. This piece is not ideal for you if you are terrified of scratching or have OCD about them.
