Rolex Day-Date featuring an Eisenkiesel dial and factory set with 10 baguette-cut diamonds

Actor and watch guru Mark Wahlberg is wearing a 40mm president Rolex Day-Date featuring an Eisenkiesel dial that has been factory set with 10 baguette-cut diamonds as hour markers.

Eisenkiesel is quartz featuring red, brown, orange, and yellow tones. The name itself means “iron pebbles” in German, referring to what makes its distinct veining when the iron is exposed to oxygen. Rolex chose this stone because of how it pairs with the Everose color of this 2021 model.

About the Watch

When it was first introduced in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date was the first timepiece to display time and date in full. It features an eisenkiesel dial with a unique appearance. This Rolex piece’s distinguishing characteristic is the element most accountable for its identification and readability. Each Rolex dial is developed and made in-house, primarily by hand, to guarantee excellence and features hour markings crafted from 18 ct gold to minimize oxidation.

The Rolex flute bezel is also a distinctive feature. Initially, the fluting on the Oyster bezel fulfilled a practical purpose: it was used to secure the bezel to the casing, ensuring the piece’s water resistance. As a result, it was similar to the fluting on the case back, which was also fastened onto the casing for waterproofness with Rolex equipment. Fluting is now an aesthetic aspect, a real Rolex hallmark element. The gold fluted bezel is still a symbol of status today.

On the other hand, Rolex Day-Date features a president bracelet with the finest refinement. The straps and fastenings are designed, developed, and manufactured using extremely high tech. Moreover, like all of the piece’s features, aesthetic adjustments by the human eye ensure flawless beauty. The President bracelet was designed in 1956 to launch the Day-Date and features semi-circular three-piece connectors. It is crafted of handpicked metals and symbolizes the pinnacle of sophistication and convenience.

The Day-Date 40 is powered by the caliber 3255, a new-generation movement created and developed solely by Rolex for exceptional performance. The self-winding automatic movement is at the cutting edge of watchmaking technology. With 14 patents, it is the pinnacle of Rolex innovation, offering significant improvements in precision, power reserve, shock and magnetic tolerance, simplicity of use, and reliability.

Also, the Rolex Day-Date 40 Presidential timepiece features a new-generation Rolex Calibre 3255 movement and a redesigned 40mm wide variant of the legendary Rolex Oyster casing. The 40mm wide case offers a more modern appearance while preserving the original Rolex Oyster monobloc design with a screw-down back and winding crown for 100 meters of water resistance.

Most Rolex watches are created for a specific purpose; however, the Rolex Day-Date 40 is suitable for everyday wear, regardless of your plans. The self-winding chronometer with a contemporary calendar and simultaneous day indicator is available in a range of dial and strap colors, including the exquisite Rolex Day-Date Diamond. This is a terrific luxury piece for anyone, with several variants to select from, along with the extremely wanted Rolex Day-Date 40 Presidential.
