Richard Mille RM 65-01 Automatic Split Seconds Chronograph with a Carbon TPT case

Armenian-American poker player, businessman, and social media influencer Dan Bilzerian wears a Richard Mille RM 65-01 Automatic Split Seconds Chronograph with a Carbon TPT case that has a width of 45mm.

This is the most complicated model ever made by the Swiss brand and features a skeleton winding movement with hours, minutes, and seconds at 6 o’clock, a date, and a split-seconds chronograph.

About the Watch

Richard Mille unveils the world’s first automatic split-seconds Chrono. An extremely complicated sports watch that may be used on any occasion. This automated split-second chronograph is the most complex clock ever to exit the Richard Mille atelier, having taken five years to build.

The chronograph is powered by a high frequency balancing with adjustable inertia (5 Hz, or 36,000 vibrations per hour). This was designed for long-term time-tracking precision and accurate stopwatch computations to 1/10th of a second. It’s a true racing machine, complete with a split-second indicator for calculating interval times, which is a first for Richard Mille on an automatic movement.

The timepiece has undergone stress, fall, decade-aging modeling, water resistance, and even magnetic testing. Besides, it is made of high-quality materials, including Grade-5 titanium and Carbon TPT. RM’s first in-house rapid-winding system is one of the watch’s most fascinating additional features. This button may be located at the 8 o’clock mark, at which the barrel is completely situated with a 60-hour power reserve after being pressed 125 times.

The Richard Mille RM 65-01 displays color-coding to align activities that correlate to the pushers for an obvious dial. Green represents the date display, while yellow represents the time: hours, minutes, and little seconds at 6 o’clock. The chronograph’s move seconds display and the 30-minute, as well as 12-hour totalizers are all orange. The winding system is red, while the split-seconds dial is blue.

The case itself has exceptionally exquisite craftsmanship on every surface. It features a Carbon TPT bezel, caseband, and caseback, as well as a micro-blasted, refined, and satin-finished grade 5 titanium crown. It is framed by polished and satin-finished grade 5 titanium Chrono controls. The plate etched with RM 65-01 on the caseband is made of similar material and has the same quality. The red Quartz TPT ring on the rapid-winding pusher sticks out.

A few unusual techniques are also hidden within the crown. A button in the core of the crown instantly shifts the functionality between typical hand winding, date modification, and time alteration instead of the usual procedure of taking out the crown to change various parameters. It has a water resistance of up to 50 meters. Besides, the Richard Mille RM 65-01 optimizes the rotor’s winding action with a newly developed dynamic geometry.

In addition, this unique Richard Mille model successfully adapts mainspring rewinding to the customer’s level of activity, whether in a sports or non-sporting situation. The rotor’s momentum can be changed by modifying the three adjustable weights to either speed up or slow down the winding operation, all through leisure hand movements or during athletic activity. The winding system of the movement can be optimized and personalized to the owner’s custom, thanks to this innovation.
