Watch Description

Unsurprisingly, Audemar Piguet’s 2022 launch date has strongly emphasized sincere and handsome Royal Oaks, such as the “Jumbo” Extra-Thin at the time of the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary. The recently released Royal Oak Selfwinding Music Edition provides a much-needed pleasure. On the other hand, the vintage Royal Oak debut has been an exceptionally solemn instance of the watchmaker.

Five new models have been released, one of which is a black ceramic number. This 43mm version additionally includes three extra yellow, turquoise, and green rubber bands in contrast to a replaceable blue rubber strap that matches the dial. When the watch is turned over, the sapphire transparent caseback with an oscillation mass and engravings reading “Limited Edition” and “Of 500 pieces” is visible.

The latest Royal Oak Selfwinding Music Editions have a white gold AP emblem at the 12 o’clock position, white gold bar hourly markings, and luminous hour, minute, and second indexes. Aside from a few concealed references to music studio gear in the new model, the casing is entirely based on the Selfwinding line’s 2021 redesign. The lug screws are knurled, resembling audio jacks, while the crown shields are styled like terminal faders.

On the other hand, the dial is precisely where the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding ‘Music Edition’ truly loses bass. An equalizer/VU meter indicator has been created using the famous Tapisserie etching. It’s a pretty entertaining and original twist on the classic pattern that works remarkably well as a pattern. Additionally, these AP watches are the go-to pieces for producers, rappers, and musicians all across the world, so this is a perfect fit for them.

The equalizer pattern is engraved on the bottom of the titanium versions’ blue bases. The equalizer feature on the white gold model, however, takes things to a completely new level because. This is because it is built primarily of various colored gemstones embedded on an aventurine dial. The many layers of the motif were made using rubies, tsavorites, peridots, and orange, green, and blue sapphires.

The white gold bezel also has the same collection of gemstones. They are all fitted using AP’s brand-new “Harmony” setup. This is a hidden gem setting, which can be applied to smaller, more delicate stones.

In addition, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding ‘Music Edition’ is driven by autonomous in-house movements. The functions are hours, and minutes, including center seconds. It also contains calibers that vary in size according to the music field they cover. Caliber 4309 is found in the 43mm version. This is undoubtedly a much bigger movement featuring a 70-hour power reserve.
