Hyped white ceramic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar

Mystery rapper Offset wears the super hyped white ceramic 41mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. The timepiece features a white ceramic case and bracelet with a dark blue tapisserie dial and silver subdials.

About the Watch

In 2017, Audemars Piguet debuted the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, which was the brand’s first complete ceramic timepiece (plus the bracelet). Including its unique stealth design and sophisticated movement, it’s no surprise that this watch is among the most popular in the selection. Audemars Piguet launches a new version based on the same design, excellent for summer, with a full habillage composed of white ceramic.

The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar was therefore released just before summer, thus fitting the design of the timepiece perfectly. It is new, vibrant, dazzling, and somewhat nautical with its deep blue dial. This wristwatch is a conversation piece for folks who already have dozens of other timepieces and are looking for something unique and adventurous. The Royal Oak was never a conservative timepiece, and this white ceramic variant is one of the most unconventional.

White is not really a color you see too often in cases. Most people are used to white metals. However, white is significantly more brilliant and luminous, and ceramic lacks the luster and reflections of metal while maintaining a consistent, somewhat matte color. Once the initial impression wears off, and this timepiece does make an impression the first time you put it on, the outcome is an intriguing, distinctive wristwatch with its individuality. Unlike any other watch, the dial has significantly greater contrast in this setting.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar has personality and a certain refinement, including its casual, sporty, summery style. Not the subtlety of a Calatrava, but a fascinating, appealing grace. Ceramic is highly robust, scratch-resistant, and light, which implies you can relish its lightweight, immaculate white characteristics without stressing over scratches.

Audemars Piguet adopted a classic blue “grande tapisserie” dial featuring silver contrast sub-dials (all made in-house). The white markings and bright materials in the dials and indicators complement the white casing nicely. The display is identical to all Royal Oak Perpetual Calendars, excluding the week number displayed on the inner ring. The QP complexity is completed by the day, date, month, leap year, and moon phase (laser microstructured on a glittering aventurine surface). A complementing ceramic bracelet with a titanium fold over clasp complements the ceramic case. It can withstand 20 meters of water (65 feet).

The caliber 5134, more like steel and gold brethren, powers this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar White Ceramic. The ultra-thin (4.31mm) mechanical movement has a diameter of 29.00mm and a power reserve of 40 hours. It features changeable inertial blocks and vibrates at a higher rate of 19,800 times per hour. The finish is exceedingly intricate with Geneva stripes, circle graining, and beautiful bevels. The rotor is likewise beautifully decorated. Every 125 years and 317 days, the astrological moon necessitates a modification.
