Watch Description

Hublot has released a Big Bang Unico in a brand-new color – purple – for the summer season. This piece has a 42-mm casing made of aluminum, a modern and lightweight element. The purple hue runs through its anodized, satin-finished, and refined case. This color was achieved by a method that ensures unsurpassed longevity as well as exceptional scratch and shock resistance.

The graphic playground of Hublot’s HUB1280 flyback column-wheel Chrono movement can be seen peeking out from behind the skeletal dial. It keeps time to the beat of whichever Balearic beach disco you may be clubbing at. The sapphire crystal protects everything, and the casing has a water resistance of up to 100 meters. The 43-jewel movement features a 28,800 vph rate as well as a 72-hour power reserve, which is comparable to a three-day partying. The sapphire display pane in the titanium caseback enables viewing the movement, which is fastened by 6 screws.

The HUB1280 manufacturing caliber, a Chrono movement with a transparent column-wheel via the dial, lies at the core of the Big Bang Unico Summer. The hands and indexes are the same shade of purple, with hints of luminous white in between.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico’s casework has numerous angles that give a lot of visual appeals, with satin and refined surfaces eager to play throughout the summer light. The piece’s casing, pushers, crown, dial indicators, and even the two accompanying bands and their components are all coated with the same delightful grape flavor.

The movement, the titanium caseback, and the distinctive H-screws around the bezel are the only non-purple elements. This gives a great distinction and additional readability to the skeletonized dial. The hands and indicators are covered with bright white lume, and the dial boasts Arabic numerals in the same purple as the hands and subdials. A little date display is hidden within the 60-minute subdial at 3 o’clock.

In addition, this Big Bang Unico Summer consists of two purple bands to complement its all-purple design. The first one is a Velcro strap with coordinating stitching secured with a sporting clasp. The other bracelet is made of the brand’s distinctive natural rubber, and both use Hublot’s unique One-Click mechanism, which allows for adjustable fastenings.

Overall, Hublot features unpacked the Big Bang Unico Summer Purple, a vivid timepiece honoring summer limited to just 200 pieces. Nevertheless, this limited-edition timepiece is not only perfect for the summer months; it also adds a splash of color to those dreary days in winter.
