Formula 1 World Champion with a TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph

The Belgian-Dutch 2021 Formula One World Champion and TAG Heuer ambassador Max Verstappen is wearing the 188 pieces limited 42mm TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Gold “Jack Heuer’s Birthday.”

The model marks Jack Heuer’s (great-grandson of the company’s founder Edouard Heuer) 88th birthday and features a polished 18k Rose Gold case with an in-house movement and a 88 symbol on the chronograph dial – which embodies luck and the cycle of life.

About the Watch

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph is not a historical replica but rather a modern recreation based on an antique model. The dial is branded TAG Heuer, for starters, and the diameter is a distinctly new 42mm. Because of its size, the dial has a lot more going on. The panda-esque subdials; are termed because the contrast of the black against the light dial surface resembles a real panda. Also, applied indicators, textual information, a chapter ring, a date window, and a little seconds counter are all included.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Jack Heuer Birthday Gold Limited Edition is structured by an 18K rose gold casing. It also features a silver opaline dial with a pair of imposed iconic infinity loops in the dial’s center. Hence, it symbolizes Jack’s birthday and recalls his endlessly valuable legacy to the brand. Only the 2 sunrays polished chronograph subdials at 3, and 9 o’clock are in contrast black, like in the original Heuer version, as a tribute to vintage racing clocks. The counter at 6 o’clock, which didn’t even exist in the original edition, merges in beautifully with the dial, tone to tone.

The hands’ dimensions have been nicely modified to something like the hour-markers. Also, the silhouette of the newly designed date displays is two subtle specifics that come directly from Jack’s vision, as well as an eye for an immaculate dial layout. Besides, they add the finishing touch to the esthetical alignment of this digital watch.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph casing, pushers, and crown are all made of 18k rose gold. The hands and markers are characterized as being rose-gold tinted, as are all of the “gold” embellishments on the dial surface. The dial’s hue and appearance are represented as silver opaline. Just above the engraved brand emblem is the serif-style Carrera wordmark at the top of the dial. The word “Heuer 02 80 Hours” appears at the bottom of the dial and refers to the movement. A chapter ring serves as the Chrono seconds’ indicator as it moves outward.

The Calibre Heuer 02 is the timepiece’s movement, which is an in-house column-wheel, vertical-clutch Chrono with an astounding 80-hour power reserve. Thus, the inscription is at the bottom of the dial. The viewable oscillation mass is etched with Jack Heuer’s doctrine, “Time never stops, why should we?” on the sapphire display case back. A little below the quote, Jack Heuer’s signature is also etched.

This commemorative timepiece is restricted to only 188 pieces. In addition to the attributes, the watch has an attached rose-gold colored infinity loop that represents Jack Heuer’s birthday, according to the brand. It comes with a black alligator leather strap with gold lettering with Jack’s signature.
