World’s first ladies have played significant roles in history throughout the years. They have attended official events and traveled with a number of the most prominent men in the world while donning impeccable clothing and accessories.

On other occasions, Nancy Reagan wore colorful skirt suits with gold jewelry while advocating against underage drug usage. On the other hand, whenever she wasn’t wearing political jewelry, Michelle Obama pushed wholesome school lunches. She even had her hands dirty by cultivating vegetables at the White House gardens while wearing jeans and sneakers.

So how about their wristwatches? Whether they are working in the garden or holding a private dinner, here are some of the watches that these strong ladies were often seen with:

  • Jill Biden

Since 2018, Jill Biden has seldom been spotted minus her Cartier, and in 2020, she frequently wore it while out campaigning. This was likely a present from Joe Biden; it may be presumed. In return, Jill also gave Joe a wristwatch, a blue-dialed Rolex Datejust, that he donned to his inaugural ceremony.

Roman numbers can be seen on the dial of this tank clock, an exquisite 18-carat gold device with a squared design. The inside square is irregularly formed over the white dial with black hour markings. Furthermore, it appears that Dr. Jill Biden favors this Panthère de Cartier in yellow gold.

Panthère de Cartier also has blue indicators for the minute and hour in place of the black. On the contrary, it has no seconds counter, which keeps it very straightforward and scarce.

Five columns of gorgeous golden links make up the band component. In addition, the watch’s spinning crown has a blue studded tip at its end. Moreover, this watch isn’t much bling required as it is currently constructed of solid gold.

Overall, this Panthère de Cartier watch is understated yet elegant.

  • Melania Trump

With her diamond-encrusted Vacheron Constantin watch, Melania Trump makes a statement. Just for the design and quantity of diamonds utilized, this watch is worth about $1 million. Moreover, due to its association with both Trump and her famous supermodel reputation, it would probably bring in a considerably higher price if it were put up for auction.

Instead of having a square form, this Vacheron Constantin wristwatch is curvy. It includes a fundamental hour and minute indicator. Moreover, it almost gives the impression of being white, glass, and perhaps even silver based on the viewing point since all of the diamonds are revealed on the dial, bezel, and band.

In addition, this distinctive watch features a very plain appearance due to the absence of colored sapphires on it, which is astounding considering that it is covered from face to base by diamond engraving.

The Cartier Tank was a timepiece she wore frequently. Typically, you won’t find anything more traditional than this: Her watch was made of yellow gold and had a black leather strap.

However, this Cartier Tank piece was sold at a Christie’s New York auction in 2017. Rumor has it that Kim Kardashian paid $379,500 for the artwork.

  • Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama is a fan of Cartier watches as well. If not for the twin rows of diamonds along the right and left sides of the bezel, this stainless steel Tank Francaise Watch watch would have a very traditional appearance. However, it features 26 diamonds, which is fewer than the watch worn by Melania Trump.

The wound crown comprises a blue sapphire end, similar to the Jackie-O watch, and there are just 2 indexes on the dial. The dial resembles Jill Biden’s watch almost exactly. Moreover, the quartz movement in this Tank Francaise Watch ensures precision.

It is likely the least expensive watch in  Michelle Obama’s jewels portfolio, with a price tag of just $7,500.
