Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, the Mexican boxing superstar, is known not only for his boxing skills but also for his love for luxury watches. He owns an extensive collection of high-end timepieces and often wears them during public appearances and press conferences.

Like many celebrities and athletes, Canelo is also fond of Richard Mille watches, which are known for their avant-garde designs and advanced technology. After all, Richard Mille’s timepieces are often seen as status symbols among the wealthy and elite.

The unbeaten super middleweight champion was recently spotted wearing the Richard Mille RM 66 Flying Tourbillon “Rock’n’Roll. This is, for sure, a special edition kind of watch with limited pieces of only 50.

When it comes to features, this Rock ‘n’ Roll piece is worth adding to your list of collections. A 5N red gold representation of the “devil’s horns” indication, a fist with the indicator and pinky fingers extended, is prominently displayed at the dial’s center. The dial is skeletonized, as is customary for Richard Mille, while the pointer in its center has a skeletal, bony appearance.

Other features of the watch also reflect the rock aesthetic. The hour hands are formed like guitar picks, and the grade 5 titanium crown has a gothic design that resembles a spider.

Additionally, the layout of the watch is startlingly unorthodox. The RM 66 Flying Tourbillon flips the traditional configuration, placing the flying tourbillon with adjustable inertia at 12 o’clock and moving the 72-hour power reserve to the bottom of the dial. Normally, most watches have their tourbillon carriage at 6 o’clock, which makes the Rock ‘n’ Roll watch strike out even more.

Furthermore, the RM 66 Flying Tourbillon’s casing combines gold with the company’s proprietary 42MM wide Carbon TPT material, which is made from layers of carbon threads for a lovely grain-like look. In contrast, the 5th-grade titanium case band has 5N red golden plates that have a Clous de Paris design reminiscent of punk bands’ belt buckles.

Overall, Canelo Alvarez’s choice to wear Richard Mille watches reflects his appreciation for fine horology and symbolizes his success and status as one of the world’s top boxers. Moreover, his collaboration with the brand has created unique timepieces that appeal to both watch enthusiasts and fans of the sport.
