Armin Strom has recently unveiled the Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition; a stunning watch made to commemorate the partnership with Sincere Haute Horlogerie (SHH). This eye-catching device, limited to just eight copies, strikes out thanks to its vibrant salmon-colored mechanism plate, which Kari Voutilainen hand-guilloched. The skeletonized display provides a unique picture of the beautifully crafted factory movement. It, thus, highlights the company’s love of open-worked components, which form the core of its design concept.

In addition, Gravity Equal Force by Armin Strom has created a lasting impact on timepiece lovers since its initial release in 2019. Besides, the enthusiasts in Singapore are sure to embrace that affection.

The outstanding aesthetic appearance of the Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition is a result of many design elements. Famous Finnish designer Kari Voutilainen hand-guilloches the movement plate’s salmon color to produce a striking guilloche design. Furthermore, the creators of Armin Strom, Claude Greisler and Serge Michel, are close friends of Kari Voutilainen.

The casing’s internal anonymities can be seen clearly via the dial’s remarkable skeletonization and the markers. They were all made in-house and covered in 18-karat 5N rose gold. They are precisely hand-polished within the company, just like the other exposed movement components.

All Armin Strom watches feature ground-breaking innovation. However, the Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition stands out for the label’s design and artistry as well. It is featured in a traditional 41-millimeter stainless-steel casing. Also, it includes a black alligator leather strap to complete a look that is both timelessly classic and fiercely modern.

One can clearly view the wheel revolve as you change the time. Likewise, you can see the complete gear system on the dial end and the escapement on the device’s rear. Also, a metallic ring featuring round graining serves as the window for hours, alongside a second ring as the minute tracker and a little register for the seconds at eight o’clock. Moreover, the silver components contrasted and emphasized the rose golden guilloché dial of the watch.

The Armin Strom Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition watches will only be produced in 8 pieces. Therefore, as a sign of their rarity, each one comes with “ONE OF EIGHT” inscribed.

The Movement

The Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition, as with all the watches in the series, offers continuous force transfer, a first-of-its-kind in the industry, which ensures a reliable power supply to the balance. This implies that the device consistently produces faultless accuracy. Besides, its ASB 19 caliber has a 72-hour power reserve.

The “stop work” feature of the movement is a strong example of Armin Strom’s dedication to the invention. It limits the mainspring’s ability to unwind to the specific portion of the system that can reliably supply energy.

The company’s creator, Serge Michel, claims that the watch maintains a steady functionality for its four-day battery life, varying by +4/-2 seconds daily. This implies that the precision won’t alter throughout the whole power reserve. Moreover, the movement is constant throughout, even though it adds a second per day.

Previously, manually winded movements or pocket pieces were typically utilized with stop-work mechanisms. However, the Gravity Equal Force has a micro-rotor that spins on the dial edge. Serge Michel also stated that to maintain the mainspring wound while the device is being worn, they designed a mechanical movement to guarantee that the timepiece’s functionality would stay constant.

In general, the company’s manufacturing facility in Biel, Switzerland, devised and created the stunning Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition in-house. Its movement is constructed twice, much like every other Armin Strom timepiece. The movement is rigorously dismantled after the first assembly, and every component is polished, dried, rebuilt, and oiled before being precisely regulated, inspected, and put back in the casing.

Conclusion

Overall, the Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition timepiece has been favorably welcomed in its initial presentations to enthusiasts. However, due to production’s limited ability, it will remain a collectible item. First-come, first-served manufacturing will account for half of all subsequent production.

Gravity Equal Force SHH Edition features a black fabric band and light grey threading, quietly retaining the watch’s crisp monochromatic color theme. It is offered in a traditional 41-millimeter stainless-steel casing.
