The pioneer of the Latin trap movement, rapper Anuel AA of Puerto Rico, is wearing a 41mm Rolex Submariner Date in 18k yellow gold.

The unidirectional cerachrom bezel insert in blue ceramic surrounds a royal blue dial with large luminescent hour markers, and this model comes on a solid-link oyster bracelet.

Overall Description

The Rolex Submariner was the first dive timepiece to be water-resistant to 100 meters when it was launched in 1953. The watch had a revolving 60-minute time bezel to enable divers to maintain track of the time they’d spent underwater, as well as enough illuminating elements on the dial to guarantee legibility even in the darkest of waters. Whereas the original Submariner was made of stainless steel with a black bezel and a black time-only dial, Rolex later added a Submariner Date model that came in a number of metals and hues. Of course, specifications, functionality, and components have evolved over the past six or more decades, but the essential design plan remains the same.

The Rolex Submariner Date has emerged as a crucial milestone for whichever competent timepiece collection. This is whether in its modern iteration or one of its numerous hyper-popular antique models. It’s all thanks to its lengthy and adventurous life, which is soaked in interesting detail and filled with cultural importance.

Running a high bar for all swimmer’s timepieces, the Rolex Submariner Date highlights the long-standing relationship between Rolex and diving. The new Rolex Submariner Date was launched in 20202 and has refined 18k Yellow Gold 41mm casing. This version features a blue dial with finished 18k Yellow Gold hour, minute, and seconds markers in the Mercedes logo. It also includes a Breguet-style sword design with illuminating fill and a Breguet-style sword shape with luminous fill. Luminescent fill was added to finished 18kt Yellow Gold framed doty and pointer hour markings. The dial rim has a finely engraved minute/seconds tracker and long-lasting blue luminosity on a very readable Chromalight screen.

The innovative “Triplock” fastening crown in refined 18kt yellow gold ensures that the crown clamps down onto the Oyster casing as firmly as a submarine opening. A scratch-resistant Sapphire Crystal and a sturdy case back protect the dial. The hour, minute, and second indicators are in the timepiece’s center. Stop seconds are used to precisely set the time. A cyclops magnifier is placed in the date panel at 3 o’clock.

In addition, Rolex Submariner Date has a refined 18k Yellow Gold bidirectional rotating bezel featuring clamping edges for better grip. Bezel component in blue “Cerachrom” porcelain is exceedingly robust, durable, and resistant to scratch.

Ceramic has great corrosion resistance and is resistant to ultraviolet light, ensuring that the color does not deteriorate. A 60-minute immersing gauge with a light point at the base is carved in yellow gold.

Rolex Submariner Date movement is a manual self-winding 3235 with 31 jewels as well as a power reserve of up to 70 hours. It also has a water resistance of up to 300 meters or 1000 feet, making it ideal for deep-sea adventurers.
