IWC

IWC produces high quality timepieces and is known for its complications and range of watches from casual wear, to sport watches, to those that qualify as haute horlogerie. The founder, Florentine Ariosto Jones, sailed from Boston to Switzerland and was able to establish a watchmaking facility that utilized hydropower from the Rhine River. References to the power and beauty of water and the sea are still evident in the IWC collections. The brand is popular for its Aquatimer, diver watches, and the Portugieser and Portofino collections targeted to the elite.
