The innovative Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 126720VTNR is technically the first left-handed Rolex ever created to have a crown location at 9 o’clock rather than 3 o’clock. It also has a cerachrom bezel inlay that blends green and black, which has never been produced before. Moreover, the earlier “Pepsi,” “Coke,” and “Rootbeer” bezel hue pairings have earned the product the moniker “Sprite” among watch enthusiasts. 

With its refreshing color scheme and striking structure, the Rolex Sprite undoubtedly gives the company a new start. Like other footballers, Karim Benzema of Real Madrid was also seen with the Rolex GMT-Master II 126720VTNR with an oyster bracelet while commemorating his team’s 1-0 win against Liverpool on May 28, 2022, during the UEFA Champions League final.

• Roger Federer

Roger Federer, a legendary tennis player from Switzerland, was seen on May 22, 2022, attending the F1 Grand Prix in Barcelona while sporting a timepiece on a jubilee band on his left wrist. The player was reportedly spotted taking pictures on holiday in Dubai while flaunting the left-handed GMT on his right wrist.

Hence, he is most likely left-handed, though this doesn’t really matter for football. This also makes him the ideal wearer of the newly lefty GMT timepiece.

Russell Westbrook, an NBA player and Lakers shooting guard, is the most recent sportsman to own the left-handed Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 126720VTNR.

On July 16, he was pictured wearing the piece on the jubilee bracelet when attending an NBA Summer League match. Given that Westbrook was sporting the clock on his left wrist, it appears that he is not left-handed.

Reece James, a football player for Chelsea, was seen sporting the VTNR just before Federer was seen sporting it on a jubilee bracelet.
